Grandmaster Kwang Hyun Lee started his Martial Arts training at Chung Do Kwan in Seoul, Korea.  He initially practiced only Taekwondo, starting when he was 10 years old in 1970.  The same year, his father (Senior Grandmaster Man Kun Lee) moved to Bangkok, Thailand where he opened Lee's Taekwondo School.  In 1973, Grandmaster Lee started training at Dae Han Hapkido in addition to his training at Chung Do Kwan.

In 1978, Grandmaster Lee's father moved and reopened  Lee's Taekwondo in Tehran, Iran.  Then, in 1980, he moved again and reopened Lee's Taekwondo a second time, this time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In 1989, as attendance was rising at the new U.S. school, Grandmaster Lee left the school in Riyadh and joined his father in the U.S.

Together he and his father ran the U.S. school for 11 years.  Then, in 2000, his father officially retired (although he was still involved in the school) and Grandmaster Lee assumed full ownership of the business renaming it AAA U.S. Taekwondo College.

At this time Grandmaster Lee traveled to Korea and received basic instruction in Haidong Gumdo.  He then returned to the U.S. and mastered the techniques and forms on his own before returning to Korea to test.

In September of 2016, Grandmaster Lee purchased Blue Dragon Martial Arts from Grandmaster Han Young Kim and renamed the school Elite Core Martial Arts.

Grandmaster Lee holds an 8th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo,

a 5th Dan Black Belt in Hapkido, and a 5th Dan Black Belt in Haidong Gumdo.
